Q: What would you wear to a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert?
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming to town, and my wife is taking me for a X-Mas present. Given the nature of the band, I thought it would be fun to find out what people might wear to their concert. I will probably just wear a t-shirt and jeans. What would you wear?

Q: how can I get a backstage pass for a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert?
i am a huge fan of the Red hot Chili Peppers. My biggest dream is to meet them personally and see them upclose. I love their music and i have so many questions for them that only they could answer. And i would like to tell them how grateful i am that they make such beautiful music. I want them to see how happy they make me. So i might need a backstage pass to one of their concerts. It can be in a few years, I'll wait, as long as i get there.
A: Some artists do not allow fans backstage... It's a fact of their lives. I don't know what the policy of the Peppers is, so I'm going to give you generic tips. NONE of these are guaranteed to work, however.
1. DO NOT degrade yourself by performing "favors" for venue security (these bozos RARELY have access to the band) or the road crew. (They see this in every city, and they take advantage for their own amusement.)
2. Join the band's fan club if they have one. They're often given preference for passes in most cities. (This is true of Bon Jovi, and Poison's members' individual fan clubs)
3. Sign on to work as local crew at the venue. Yeah, you're going to bust your butt for long hours, but it might be worth it.
4. Make friends at your local radio station who plays their music - they might know if the station is going to give away passes and how to get them.
5. Try to stay at the same hotel. It's often the largest one closest to the venue. You might bump into them in the lobby or the elevator. (Be aware though, they might not want to be mobbed if they're just getting into town at 4am, but they might be willing to chat if they're just grabbing a drink in the hotel's bar.)
Now, just because you get backstage, I can guarantee you will NOT be the only one there. There will be friends and families of the band, local press, radio station people, record company people, and about a hundred assorted other people. This means that you will not be able to have a monopoly of the band's time and probably won't be able to ask all your questions. In many cases, if you get five whole minutes uninterupted, you're ahead of the game. If you go in there with the expectation of getting to shake their hands, take a picture with them, and saying about one full sentence, you won't be disappointed.

A: Probably a really, really long time. They're on hiatus for a long, long time. In fact, they're not even planning on having a 10th album. My guess is, you'll never see them.

Q: The Mars Volta at the Red Hot Chili Peppers Concert, how were they?
I have tickets to see the Chilis and the Mars Volta on Sept 25th. One of the reasons that I bought the tickets (other than the fact that I love the Chili Peppers) is because I'm addicted to the Mars Volta. I listen to their cds all the time, just can't get enough. However I've run into a few reviews of the shows that they've done so far for the Stadium Arcadium tour, and most of them say that The Mars Volta didn't sound very good. More than one review described them as being 'painful' and many reviewers said that they ended up leaving until TMV were finished playing.
Has anyone seen the show? If so how was the Mars Volta? I really hope they're good cause I was really looking forward to hearing them live.

A: i seen the mars volta open for system of a down last year, and i must say, the mars voltas sound quality was terrible. Im a big mars volta fan and i was very disappointed with the sound quality. Hopefully when i see them with the chili peppers, they will sound better

A: The best advice I can tell you is to join their official fan club....some fan clubs offer backstage passes...but they're going to be expensive. Usually where they'll be at before and after the concert is kept secret for their safety.

I did a playlist on my iPod at the concert for both RHCP and Gnarls Barkley but my iPod is gay and lost it and i have a horrible memory. A: I'm not sure anyone will know, Anthony Kiedis even changed the list during the show (sounds like I missed out):
