Q: Under the Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers?
For my English project I have to find a song that relates to a theme in the book and I chose isolation. I was thinking about using Under the Bridge by Red Hot Chili Peppers, since Holden feels so lonely and misunderstood and then he goes to New York by himself and through his perspective, he makes the city sound very empty and lonely like everywhere he goes such as the bars and clubs, make him more depressed and make him feel empty. But now I'm having second thoughts about if this song would work. Here are the lyrics, what do you think? Or do you have another song suggestion?
Sometimes I feel like I don't have a partner
Sometimes I feel like my only friend
Is the city I live in, the city of Angels
Lonely as I am, together we cry
I drive on her streets 'cause she's my companion
I walk through her hill 'cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds and she kisses me windy
I never worry, now that is a lie
Chorus:
I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love take me all the way
I don't ever want to feel like I did that day
Take me to the place I love take me all the way
It's hard to believe that there's nobody out there
It's hard to believe that I'm all alone
At least I have her love the city she loves me
Lonely as I am, together we cry
Chorus
(Under the bridge downtown)
Is where I drew some blood
(Under the bridge downtown)
I could not get enough
(Under the bridge downtown)
Forgot about my love
(Under the bridge downtown)
I gave my life away
A: Bearing in mind under the bridge was about a struggle with heroin addiction. I'm not sure if its entirely appropriate.
As an alternative how about simon and garfunkel - the boxer.

Q: Are the Red Hot Chili Peppers still on tour?
The computer I'm on doesn't let me get in to the fan club web site.. so I can't look at it to see up comming events.
A: Aug 23 - Glasglow
Aug 25 - Reading
Aug 26 - Leeds
after those uk shows, they are done
Q: Where can I get a "Love Rollercoaster" ringtone (by the Red Hot Chili Peppers)?
I've searched and searched...I'm trying to find it in 'real' tone and for a reasonable price, not over $1.99 and I really don't want to join any monthly club to get it. Does anyone know where I can go to find this???
A: If you have the song as a mp3, you can go to www.mobile17.com and create the ringtone depending if you have the correct phone. On this site you can decide what part of the song you want as the tone and how long. You can do the same for wallpapers too. Forgot to mention that its free except for what your phone company charges you to download things usually ranging from $2-3.
Q: A Peter Gelderblom/Red Hot Chili Question?
So I am massively into the clubbin scene (even though I'm fourteen - basically I lyk house music) and I can't stop playing that Peter Gelderblom remix track - 'Waiting 4'.
I am certain it must be a remix, 'cause I am sure that is the Red hot Chili Peppers doing the vocals - am I right - and what is their song (the original) called?
If you tell me guys, its easy points.
I'll give a best answer to anyone who can tell me the name of the original by the Chilis and some other great house/club/dance tracks that I should get off iTunes.
Thanks ;-)
A: red hot chilli peppers - by the way :D

Q: Is there a club where I can get music DVDs. I'm looking to replace a lot of the older videos I have?
Such as Nirvana, Faith No More, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mother Love Bone.
No I want the actual DVDs of the old videos.
A: You mean like transfering your old VHS tapes to DVDs? I think you can do that at Walgreens, I'm not sure. Or you could get a DVD recorder and it'll do it automatically. But I'm not too familiar with that stuff.
Hmmm do a search and see what you'll come up with. I know it shouldn't be hard to find Nirvana and The Red Hot Chili Peppers at Best Buy or Circuit City.

Q: What are the best songs of 2000-2010?
If any of you watch VH1, you know they regularly broadcast their specials "100 Greatest Songs of the 80s", "100 Greatest Songs of the 90s", "100 Greatest Hip Hop Songs", and so on. Well I am in the progress of making the 100 Greatest Songs of 2000-2010. Yes, yes I am fully and completely aware that it is 2008 and not yet 2010, but I still want to get this thing started. I am asking for your help because I have almost 60 songs and I am a little stuck. Now be aware that I am trying not to include an artist more than once. But, if necessary, I guess I can make an exception but you must have a good reason. I am judging and selecting the songs by their success and impact on music and the artist's fan base. 59. Oops!… I Did it Again – Britney Spears
** - I picked two songs for these artists because they were both equally successful and had an equal impact. You can help me pick between the two songs.
And one more thing, I really feel it's necessary to include the Jonas Brothers on here. They have had huge success on Disney and Nickelodeon with all their songs, but I don't know which songs would be their best on all radio stations and networks.
AND most importantly, feel free to criticize my choices but if you do I request that you have a substitute and be willing to debate for it. Thanks!
lol primetime i would have to agree but, if you don't mind me saying, much of the music today lacks meaning.
what are you talking about? none of these songs are from the 90s
A: I'd say, as an ex-avid Jonas Brothers fan, 'Burnin' Up' would suffice as their most impacted song, everyone, whether they wanted to or not, heard that song at least once over the summer. Along with The Fray, although my favorite song of all-time is 'Over My Head', I think 'How to Save a Life' became somewhat of an anthem for a majority of people, and they can relate to it, so that song covers more of The Fray's popularity. I also think that instead of 'Disturbia', you should have 'Umbrella', although both songs did amazingly well for Rihanna, 'Umbrella' was more popular according to the charts. As well, I think you NEED to have Taylor Swift on here, her sophomore album is still in the tops of the charts nearly two months after release, and 'Love Story' has over 24 million plays on her MySpace.

Q: Things are finally moving up for me music wise !!?
Its been a year & a half since I got my guitar and made my youtube account.
http://youtube.com/user/vincymon
But now I can finally get HUMAN interaction with people music-wise.
This new school year we successfully started a music club in my college !
And one of my MAJOR (biology) teachers happens to be the supervisor....how cool is that !
Even cooler is, for example , during today's session i was actually teaching the group to play a song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAEFPeW79tA
The teacher informed us that we are supposed to perform for graduation !
"red hot chili peppers" - dosed.
I feel energized.!
A: Im so happy for you.
