I am planning to buy 4 tickets for Metallica show at Save Mart Center Fresno. I want to get the presale tickets but I want to make sure that if I get the Metclub membership I can get 4 tix instead of just 2. Please help !

Q: How do I stop my Metallica shirt from shrinking in the wash?
Last week I bought an awesome Metallica Master of Puppets shirt, but the size is perfect, its not too tight, and not too big. But the problem is that its 100% cotton. When I have to wash it, is there any procedure to stop it from shrinking, or after it shrinks to make it normal again? I haven't washed or worn it yet.
A: Wash in cold water and dry on low, or >>>even better, hang it to dry. Heat is a main culprit for shrinking cotton.
Q: what metallica songs do you suggest to learn?
i play the guitar and want to learn metallica songs... however im such a 'pro' guitarist... i can play songs like 'before i forget' from slipknot... 'smells like teen spirit' by nirvana...

Q: How long do you think the the Metallica Death Magnetic consert will be?
How long do you think the the Metallica Death Magnetic concert will be? I need to know how long the concert lasts and when i can expect to be home.
A: Well I just saw them a few weeks ago and they played just about 2 hours of material. Then there were 2 openers who both played just under an hour.
Q: How hard is Metallica's "One" to learn on the guitar?
I have no experience with guitars but really want to learn how to play Metallica's "One", if I just watch and mimic videos of people playing it how long would it take for a person to be able to play it? (I don't mean in Guitar Hero)
100 hours? 300? Is it even possible?
A: This is pretty ironic but this is the First song I ever learned on guitar (not all the way through). But it isn't really that hard. The solos aren't really hard either. If you get the right tabs it will be easier than you think. Making it sound clean is the best part and what takes most practice. The distorted solo isn't that crazy either, but keep in mind during the tapping part Kirk uses his pick instead of his finger. Watch some people that play in on Youtube that get it right and pretty legit if you can't find videos to help you and read the tabs and try to play along with others that are good. That will help a lot.
I would rank it about 6/10 on difficulty. 10 being something like Dimebag Solos or Stevie Ray Vaughn's crooked as all get out chords and scales that are ridiculous to learn =p

I just recently got into metal and the songs i listen to are enter sandman, day that never comes, one, master of puppets, and the unforgiven. What are some other good metallica songs? Also what other metal bands are good? Note: I dont like screamo

Q: How long does a regular Metallica and Tenacious D concert last?
I am going to the concert this wednesday, 20th august and was wondering when it would roughly be over.
The gates open at 5:30pm.
Metallica are the main act, with Tenacious D kind of supporting.
Just wondering, it would help to know in advance for train times and stuff.

A: it depends sometimes they can be hours and hours and some can be about 2 hours. if i had to guess i would say the whole concert (if there are other band besies metallica and ten D) then id say 3ish hours
Q: Should metallica have released a best of album instead of Death Magnetic?
Personally i detest the new album, i would have much preferred a best of album with a few of their favorite new songs thrown in. They could have made it like the ultimate collection and had a double disc with all their greatest songs. Because lets face it metallica have an amazing repertoire but they also have alot of stinkers of alot of albums. So what would be better then alll their good stuff and a few new songs.

A: First, let me say that I've been a fan since the mid-80s so I have a little perspective here. Also a musician for over 25 years, playing metal and hard rock professionally, so I understand the artistry in question here. Love it or hate it, Death Magnetic is an attempt by the band to become the Metallica their hardcore fans have been dying for. Rubin asked them to do something as great as Master. Did they achieve that? No. But they did make an effort, and it is better than much of the stuff they have done since the Black album. It is somewhere between . . . And Justice and the Black album.
But, it doesn't really stand up to their best work. It is an attempt, I think, to build upon the glory of Master of Puppets, but if you really put them next to each other, the new album sounds like garbage -- by itself, it is fine, but it is nowhere near the glory of old. Hetfield's lyrics are not up to par; his younger self, while brash, would never have written stuff like "Mangled flesh, snapping spines/ Dripping bloody valentine/ Shattered face, spitting glass." Ever since the Bob Rock experience, his lyrics have been embarrassingly personal. And once Metallica became vulnerable, they never recovered.
Death Magnetic is a meditation on death-- but so is every other Metallica record. The best ones spit in the face of death; this album instead finds aging men trying to reclaim their youth. I feel for them, and I will always love their old stuff, but they have been a long painful slide downward since the death of Cliff. Death Magnetic is, alas, their death knell. On this album, they tried their hardest to get back the fire. They did an admirable job of trying, but the fact is -- this album doesn't even sound better than other 80s thrash bands at their prime, let alone Metallica at their prime. Metallica should acknowledge -- as they did when they trashed the St. Anger tour and started playing their old albums in concert -- that they had 4 very good albums -- and that's it. (Black album was their commerical success, but it wasn't their creative peak).
I think the Metallica I love so much is gone. The best that this band can offer has already been recorded -- a LONG time ago. They have changed as individuals and as musicians and the magic is gone.
A best of album? I think that is probably more your desire to hear the old Metallica again -- that is, when the band was really the best around, no competition. But that band is gone.
Having said that, I wouldn't mind hearing the Justice album remixed so I can hear Jason's bass.
My friend -- I feel your sadness here. But the fire is gone. That's why Metallica plays primarily their 80s stuff in concert. Because THAT is their best stuff. THAT is the Metallica that made them legends.

I have floor seats to the Metallica concert at the Wachovia Center in Philly on January 17. What time should i get to the concert to ensure that i'm close to the stage? The concert starts at 7pm. I dont have to be all the way up front, i just wanna be close enough.
