Q: What ever happened to rock 'n roll excess......?
Motley Crue Pantera Guns "n Roses Metallica Slayer Megadeth Iron Maiden Anthrax Vs: MCR FOB P!ATD Nickelback Avenged Sevenfold Are we going backwards or what!??! What happened to huge 200 date staduim and arena tours all around the world instead of tiny 40 date tours in sh!tty clubs that burn these hacks out after 2 shows? What happened to rock 'n roll excess and having a good time with music instead ot whining like a girl who just dropped her ice cream in dog poo and feeling sorry for yourself all the time while looking as ill as possible as a sorry excuse for an "image". I would love to see the girls in MCR on the road with Motley in '87. Ha!

A: I totally agree with you on everything. Today's music sucks. I'd love to see real classic heavy metal make a comeback.

Q: Anyone know any good ROCK --> TECHNO remixes?
For example, the german version of paint it black - rolling stones. Or moby's cover of stairway to heaven - led zeppelin. The best by far is the flawed design remix - stabilo. Another example is the remix of smells like teen spirit - nirvana and sweet child of mine - guns n roses. Thanks for your helppp! :) club remixes are appreciated too if they're good.

A: Less than Jake remixed their entire album, b is for b-sides, you should check it out.

Q: Music suggestions for me?
I am a big fan of music. I also like a fairly wide variety. Though, I'm not really into the newer mainstream stuff. I despise rap (no offense meant) and the rock which is labeled "emo" (again, no offense meant). Here is a list of the musicians on my iTunes library. However, this list doesn't even compare to the bands/artists in my CD collection. But, if there is a band or artist that you think I may not have and think I would like, please say so! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! Here is what is on my iTunes library, to give you an idea of what I like: 13th Floor Elevators 38 Special Abigail Washburn ACDC Aerosmith Al Green The Alan Parsons Project Alice Cooper The Allman Brothers Band America And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead The Animals April Wine Aretha Franklin B.J. So I'm throwing this party, which will have a live band but they can't play for that long so I thought I'd throw together a playlist for the rest of the time, there will be a very diverse crowd (hence the rap), but mostly it's alternative and classic rock, I would appreciate it if anybody would make suggestions for additions or subtractions. i have means to acquire pretty much any song so go ahead. A: I would get rid of Cocaine and Hotel California because they are just not great party music for this day. Back in the 70's yeah but now you want a mix that will get people dancing or at least in a party mood. Those 2 will just make your guest want to change the music. I would if I were invited.

Q: Any (obscure) music suggestions?
I'm up for suggestions! I made a list of the music that is on my computer so you can get an idea of what I listen to. As you can tell, my music taste varies. However, I despise most of the popular bands (okay, ALL) bands of today. Also, keep in mind that I have many more artists on CD that isn't on my computer so they are not listed....so, try to be as obscure as possible. A: Some albums: "The Way Of The Vaselines" by The Vaselines (quirky Scottish group, now defunct, influential on Nirvana) "L'Amour Fou" by Kanda Bongo Man (soukous music from Zaire - brilliant guitar playing and very uplifting) "Barbed Wire Kisses" by the Jesus & Mary Chain (it's a best-of, but as you don't have any, it's a start : ) "45s And Under" by Squeeze (great melodic pop from a songwriting duo who were heralded as the new Lennon-McCartney. Not quite, but worth checking out) "Beers, Steers + Queers" by Revolting Cocks (the weirder side of industrial) "Architecture & Morality" by Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark (elegant early electronica from 1981)

Q: Would this piss you off?
Alright I'm really pissed off, this friday we had a dance at our club (like for teens) and we had a teen dance. It was fun, but the only thing they played was rap, rap and rap. So when the DJ was taking requests and went to him and asked him "Hey, could you play some Guns N' Roses?, they're one of my favorite bands" Now this really pisses me off. The DJ said "Wow you have no taste in music whatsoever, nobody likes guns n' roses, or rock n' roll for that matter, hip-hop is better so I'm going to keep playing that. No guns n' roses." I wanted to kick the DJ in the nuts for that, at first I thought he was joking but they never played anything besides rap for the whole dance. And you know what sucks more? They played some of the same rap songs TWICE, meaning they had plenty of room to replace one with a different song.

A: Solution to the issue, DON'T GO TO THE DAM PARTIES FOR TEENS. That works every time.
