Q: what is a good foo fighters album?
Ok i have only heard a couple of foo fighters songs. i have liked every single one of them. I am a nirvana fan so i guess i should like the sound of foo fighters. But i don't know what album to buy. is there one that is better than the rest?
A: They are all good albums mate.
Arguably the fan favourite is: The Colour and the Shape.
It is their second album and thought of as their most passionate album that is full of raw emotion. The album contains some of their best songs such as: Monkey Wrench , My Hero (<---- this song is about Kurt Cobain), February Stars and arguably their most popular song Everlong.
The most well known album: There is Nothing Left to Lose.
It is probably their most well known album and it had a lot of commercial success and critical acclaim. IMO it is probably their most consistent album, all the tracks are good. But it is a radio friendly album and I would label it their softest and most mainstream album.
So those are the big two.
Their first album is self-titled: Foo Fighters. It was released pretty soon after Nirvana ended. Dave Grohl pretty much did everything on this album by himself. The album is good with some great songs (e.g This Is a Call, I'll Stick Around, Big Me). It is probably their most raw and grungy album. Out of all their albums it sounds the most like NIrvana. Would be a good place to start but I don't think the Foo Fighter's sound had quite developed yet.
The other three studio albums:
One by One, In Your Honor and Echoes Silence Patience & Grace are also good albums. I wouldn't rate One by One or In Your Honor as highly as the other albums I have gone indepth on.
So I recommend you start with The Colour and the Shape if you are going to buy one of their albums.
Otherwise... feel free to ask me which songs I recommend off each album. You can then download them and decide yourself.
Q: foo fighters?
Who has heard the new foo fighters album? it is the best one yet i think. send feedback on what you think of it
A: Yeah i think its great. I like how they combined all different kinds of songs together. They put the right amount of hard rock songs and not hard rock songs together. It's almost like they took all their albums and combined them together. I think Dave's song writing is really awesome and better compared to all the other records. Although I love There is Nothing Left to Lose the most, I really think this is them are their best, there albums get better and better each time. I just hope they don't stop here, but i understand that they have been touring non-stop since 2004.
Q: Does anyone know which Foo Fighters album the song 'One' is on?
Its from the movie Orange county staring Jack Black and i know its on the movies soundtrack but i was just wondering if it is on any of their albums?
A: Its just a single, it was never in an actual album which is crazy.
foo fighters are great tho :]
Q: What do you think of the recent Foo Fighters album?
I have always been a fan of the Foo Fighters but now I find I'm more of a fan of the oldschool FF than the new FF. The new album seems depressing to me. It seem s their more popular than before but I still think the oldschool FF are the best. The new songs cant compare to songs like "learn to fly" and "Everlong". I know the past is the past, I just wish they would stop making political songs or songs with such low tone and just go back to makeing awesome songs that make people feel good and give that excitement that the Foo Fighters had in all their songs. Thats just my thought.
A: Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace is a good cd but not the
best I like old skool foo fighters's Like monkey wrench,Learn
to fly,Ever long,Best of you,Times like these,ect.But on there
new cd i would have to say my Favorite song would be summer's end,The pretender is to over played lol.I would
also say that you have a good taste in music my friend!!!!
Q: Was the new Foo Fighters album Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace good? Rate it.?
I would also like you to rank the albums. And personally I thought the album was pretty boring and slow, not a Foo Fighter Style.
A: Of what I've heard, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace is a good album by the Foo Fighters, but doesn't match up to their best album, The Colour And The Shape.
What I like the most is that the songs vary in style, because the songs in In Your Honor were very alike (in both CD's).
The Pretender brings back the style in songs like Hey, Johny Park and Monkey Wrench.
Overall, I'd give Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace a rating of 3&1/2 stars(Out of 5).
The other albums would rate like this:
Foo Fighters: 4 stars
The Colour and The Shape: 5 Stars
There Is Nothing Left to Loose: 4 & 1/2 stars
In Your Honor: 3 Stars
Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace: 3&1/2 Stars
I haven't heard anything from One on One, sorry.
Q: What do you think of the new Foo Fighters album?
Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. if so , whats your favorite songs from the album?
A: I love it~ favorite cut is The Pretender - also think it's great they dedicated a song to the miners who were trapped and asked for an ipod loaded with Foo tunes - awesome!
Q: What Foo Fighters album should i buy first if i'm looking to get into them.?
you knoy, like which one is their best album. an album that'll make me want to get another one.
ok... i like a few songs ive heard by them, no way back, best of you, times like these songs like that.
A: If I were you I would go with "The Colour and Shape", it isn't my personal favorite of the albums, but is most definitely the most accessible to new fans and their most highly acclaimed album. Every other album released by the Foos is put under the limelight and compared to this disc, so I would start with this! They even recently released a digitally remastered version with bonus tracks, you can't go wrong!
Q: what is the picture of on the cover of the new foo fighters album?
A: its kind of a hybrid, its part bomb, part bulb. overall, weird.
Q: What is the lightbulb looking thing on the cover of the foo fighters new album?
Iv been wandering for ages now, what is it, what does it mean??! Please Help!!
A: It's a tube. The type that is used in guitar amps.
Q: Where can i find the foo fighters greatest hits album?
ive found a list of the songs on the album on this website http://www.tagtuner.com/music/albums/Foo-Fighters/Greatest-Hits/album-v211a578ist but i can't seem to get a name of the album. all i can find is skin and bones but that isn't the same album as on the website above. can anyone help?????
I have looked everywhere for the greatest hits album from the foo fighters. on this website http://www.tagtuner.com/music/albums/Foo-Fighters/Greatest-Hits/album-v211a578, where have they got this songlist from if it is not yet on an album. can someone help??? ive found 1 album which is similar but it doesnt have on a few of the songs that this one above on the website has. thanks x
A: There is not a greatest hits album in the US that I am aware of. Skin and Bones is the closest to a greatest hits album as it is a live album with songs from all of their past CDs.
Q: when is the new foo fighters album coming out?
this doesn't include skin and bones, because that is just a greatest hits album.
A: To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its sophomore album, "The Colour and the Shape," Foo Fighters will release an expanded edition of the project July 10 via Legacy/RCA.
In addition to the original album on its first disc, the new version will feature covers of Killing Joke's "Requiem," Gary Numan's "Down in the Park" and Gerry Rafferty's "Baker Street," plus the B-sides "Drive Me Wild," "Dear Lover" and "The Colour and the Shape."
Q: How is the new Foo Fighters album?
A: If you are already a big Foo Fighters fan you should like it but at certain points you really experience there new experimentation but it is all good.
Q: What is the best Foo Fighters album to date, and why?
A: One by One, since all the tracks are amazing and I can listen to for hours on end. I know many people will say Colour and the Shape, but IMO that album's not amazing.
